I've bitten the bullet.....
Well this is my first post and in relation to my first LR
I've bitten the bullet and put a deposit down on my first LR. A 2011MY (60) Discovery 4 HSE in Zermatt Silver from Harwoods Edenbridge
I can't wait to pick it up however I'm sat waiting like a child in the run up to christmas while I sell my current car, a F11 BMW 525d. All I can say is I hope to be in the Disco the next, if not the same day, as the BMW sells!! trouble is I'm now sat staring at my phone waiting for calls from the guy selling the car for me

dont go there, i bought the F11 as it was meant to reduce my fuel bills, it ended up about 3 mpg worse than an e61 535d, so from what I'm getting now and what I can expect from the disco there wont be much in it, just the cost of tax

If you are worrying about fuel costs don't get a Discovery....... Stew,
2010 D4 gone but I really loved it

unfortunately yesterday was a day of bad news. With no interest in my current car I've had to take it off the market and re-evaluate what to do.
Fortunately with a £1000 refundable deposit on the discovery I hold quite a bit of power with LR as they will obviously not want to be loosing a sale at the end of the quarter so have tasked them with coming up for a new part ex offer.
I've also approached another local dealer who I very nearly bought a car from last month, explaining my exact position and pitching my position as a very motivated buyer who if they can have a suiatble car for me would be ready to purchase before the end of the quarter.
Heres hoping that I can squeeze a good deal through in the next week

What a difference a day makes. after a day of negotiations and threatenign to pull the plug I had a very sensible offer and got o get my car on Tuesday morning.

well I collected her and am not dissapointed! The car is super comfortable, drives really well and looks great.
here are a couple of quick photos, it needs a good detail before taking some better photos though!
