D3 torque converter
Have had a few quotes to replace the TC on my D3
1st £1500
2nd @ £2500
3rd @ £3000
A garage I use who does all my work said they would fit the TC for Approx £250
Where is the best place to buy the new / refurbed TC
Would I need any other parts
TIA and stay safe

Theres a place in Keighly i think which has been recommended by people on this forum. They take out your, recondition it and refit it. Off the top of my head without doing a search about £600.

Not sure where you are North east but I had a re con from a place in Keighley. It was £500 and they had it two day’s. Judder disappeared and felt very good after. Can dig out the name of the place if you want ? I know their prices went up a bit (think it is about £600 now) but they are very good. Do not expect a dealer showroom type place though.James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.

BA Transmissions Keighley. I actually drove from Scotland to get mine done and stayed in a premier inn while I was waiting. Felt like Alan PartridgeJames favourite hobby is writing in the third person.

Oops. Just seen Defector beat me to it ! They take your TC out, check the stamp and then put a used re-con back in. Apparently they can’t tell what TC is in it until they take it out. Not sure why but that’s what they told me. They then keep your old one and refurbish it themselves and then put it in someone else’s.James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.
