Thanks for pointing that out Craig. Although I got a bid in first, I've withdrawn from the bidding in favour of PJB over on G4ownersclub as he has a G4 he's rebuilding whereas I was just after 4 decent spots. 8)I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

The "other forum" thing wouldn't normally bother me and I would have kept bidding, but I saw the chap is trying to rebuild his 2003 G4 110 (they were all pretty much stripped back to standard spec by LR) and I have respect for what he's trying to achieve, so I've backed off.
Know what you're saying about "decent" 10, but if they had gone for a sensible price I'd have had them as better than none at all. Looks like they will go for silly cash though.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Ferk me, I seem to have defend everything I say or do at the moment and I know others have made similar comments. Are you lot running low on your HRT patches?
1) If they were cheap enough I'd have had them. They are already heading for daft money so wouldn't be getting them anyway
2) I respect what the bloke is looking to do by rebuilding the G4 to original spec. I couldn't give a toss if he "respects" me. I'm not a gun-toting 19 year old somalian with "issues" living in South London, so I don't demand, request or expect "respect". Courtesy, yup, that would be nice. Respect is earned. This chap has, in my eyes, earned it in his decision to do the right thing to a G4.
3) It was my decision. I could just as easily told Craig to get lost but I made the decision not to continue. You seem to be annoyed I backed down yet had I bought them I'd have been pilloried for buying rubbish lights.
4) Warn are slightly better than Wipac, which are slightly better than torches, which are slightly better than nothing, which is what I have at the moment. I refer the learned gentlement to 1) above. If they had been cheap I would have ended up with an improvement on nothing for a low outlay, which is important at the mo. And I expect I would have been able to sell them on again when funds allowed better lamps.
