That was the plan
I'd already ordered the T7.2 a few days earlier so they both arrived together

So who can tell me which is the best, brightest, quality made torch that will be no longer than say 6 inches and not as big in diameter as 1.5 inches.

Bits of gaffer tape strategically place would fix that.

just make sure you keep spare batteries nearby - I'd hate for it to run out just at that critical moment!!

Peer pressure is a terrible thing: bought the Laser from Amazon when it was on deal of the day a week or so ago, given the comments on here.
I'd raised whether it was worth more than the £2 versions, so wanted to do a comparison. That's my excuse, anyway.
And the conclusion?
maybe.
If you want one torch that is reliable, then get it (though remember battery life is not that long on it). If. however, like me, you mislay torches, need one in the drawer, one in the car, one on the bike, etc., then the additional cost over the cheaper ones is hard to justify.
Better elements: connection from battery pack to internal circuitry (much); lens (marginally); heat dissipation (marginally); switch (marginally). Everything else is similar - milled aluminium, decent led, multiple mode switch, resilient to drops and knocks.
So I'm pleased I have one, but will be buying the cheaper ones from now on.
