First Recovery - 10ton in the mud - Video
Well here is my first recovery with the D4, i got the usual "that'll never pull it out" but obviously it did!
Shame i was on loose gravel which caused the wheels to slip a bit to start

Excellent work!
Yet to recover anything with my D4, which is a shame as I updated my kit after the workout it got in that daft winter we had a few years ago so it is all very clean still.
I have a mix of straps and a rope, but the rope is so much smoother to pull with as per your footage.
How did you keep the reverse camera on whilst driving forward?

I just put it in reverse for a second then drive, parking sensors and reverse camera stay on until you reach about 10mph I believe.
I reverse out a space in a multi storey the cam stays on until I'm out the car park usually

No, factory reverse camera. Blackvue is at the top of the window, provides a nice view but you can see the heater element.

Ah I see. The reverse cam on my MY13 D4 goes off quite quickly to be replaced by the overhead graphic of a D4 with parking sensor distances; the graphic stays on until about 10 mph and goes off at the same time as the parking sensors.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Keep meaning to put something on the wiki about tow recovery for D3/D4. I'm far from experienced at it (military trained but I don't do much off-roading) but I am sure the collective could add content and tips once it was posted.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

You can barely see the heater element on my rear blackvue camera (its mounted top centre of the rear window) - just the occasional slight shadow depending on the light. I have factory privacy glass is that the same as yours?
