UK recall on a D3 imported to Australia
I bought a vehicle that was personally imported by a UK couple who came over for a few years and then went home.
While they were here the TDV6 lunched itself, so the car stayed behind, had a ton of work done and was then on-sold. 2 owners later it's mine.
I've just done a check on a UK site (https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk) which indicates there is a pending recall on the vehicle. How would I go about finding out *what* that recall is? I'm not really interested in getting LR to fix it, I'd just rather know what it is so I can address it. (Like is the airbag going to blow my head off?)
Anyone know who I could talk to? I have the VIN and the original UK Rego (it was last MOTd in 2011).

Unfortunately it doesn't. All it says is :
Quote:
Outstanding vehicle recalls
Check if LAND ROVER DISCOVERY VX57FCJ has outstanding recalls
Outstanding recall found
There's an outstanding manufacturer's safety recall on LAND
ROVER DISCOVERY VX57FCJ. The vehicle has been recalled since at
least 15 April 2019.
Contact a LAND ROVER dealership to arrange for repairs.
If you've had the recalled component repaired recently, it can take up
to three weeks for the manufacturer to update their records.
Was this vehicle recall information useful to you? so we can improve the service.

I spoke to my local indy. They called their contacts in the UK and confirmed it's the brake servo (P017). Thankfully as mine is an EU4, it's post May-2007 (and I checked the motor put in to replace the one with a snapped crank was an EU4 also) so in theory it should only be subject to a sticky non-return valve and not push oil into the servo.
My Vacuum pump has 2 spiggots, but the left hand (upper) one has a yellow cover over it. There is only a single line going to the servo.

Mine came with the UK spec cast jobbie so I ordered a new hitch receiver from the UK last year (at great expense) to enable me to use a slightly higher ball position when I tow the caravan.
I've checked the receiver in the body and I'm not actually sure it had ever been used before I got it. Both hitches go in tight with no perceptible play and I don't ever drive with it in if the van isn't hooked up. It wasn't listed on the recall list, so hopefully I'm ok there.
