Service interval for MY16 D4
I've got my MY16 D4 booked in for its first service at 8am tomorrow.
I had understood that the service interval on this car is 12 months or 15,000 miles, plus of minus 1,000 miles. The owners Handbook only gets as close as telling me to refer to the service booklet for mileage stipulation. Unfortunately, they no longer come with a service book
It's got around 14,200 miles showing, but a sign has just lit up to say that the service is due at 1900 miles
Normally, I wouldn't give a damn about this, but I wonder what's going to happen when I turn up tomorrow and (if it does turn out to be 16,000 miles after all), how will I stand with the prepaid service plan?
Can anyone confirm what the mileage genuinely should be and if they've had any experience of the service plan paying (or not paying out) in these circumstances?
Thanks in advance.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

16000 miles or 12 months, Mine was done at 16800 as the service indicator didn't come on as ment to. I rang the dealer to find out if they had changed the service intervals as on my previous ones it was 16000.They had it in next day and carried out service and switched on service indicator. Still carried the work out on the purchased service plan no problem.MY18 RRS Autobiography Fuji White

Thanks.
I've got a horrible feeling that, because it will only be showing around 14,250 miles tomorrow morning (and well outside the 1,000 miles tolerance), that I'll either be asked to pay, or come back another time. If I have to come back another time, it'll leave the garage understandably hacked off, having set aside the workshop time and labour to get the job done tomorrow morning.
If I have to go away, it will be even more of a pain as I'm due to go on a 10 day driving holiday on Wednesday and I'd really wanted it done first.
Que an awkward conversation at 8am tomorrow....2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Why would you pay if you take the car in now?
None of my LRs have reached their service mileage, the year runs out first, never been a problem on any of my service plans.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

My 15my was serviced on Saturday, 11 months old and 14300 miles on the service plan. While the intervals are nominally 12 months or 16000 miles, the service may come up earlier than 16000 miles depending on fuel used, its driven by an algorithym in the engine ecu.

The good news is that they weren't bothered at all

While yours may have reached the end of the year first, mine is slightly less than 6 months old, so has reached neither the specified mileage, or time. If I'd still had my old MINI (don't ask!), with their pioneering "TLC" prepaid maintenance pack, BMW would have refused to pay out for the service Land Rover would appear to take a different view...2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

I had this system on both of my old MINI's (2004 & 2007). The more economically I drove, the higher the mileage before the next service became. Being used to fixed service intervals, this was very odd, but strangely satisfying.
Unfortunately, there's no such system on the Disco 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
