Hi Geoff,
I thought you were having the cam belt weekend in May. Is there another planned for around then?
My mileage is 65k so I'm not sure if that's a bit early or not!

@terryall
Your car is well overdue a belt change as its a MY2005, so I would get it done as soon as.

Hi Flack,
Apologies as I have changed vehicles recently but forgot to update details on the forum - which is now done. I have a 2009 HSE with 65K on the clock. I know this is preventative medicine as such but is 65K a bit too early?

I will join the later one if that's ok as it will be over 70k by then plus there will be a few other things to do i.e. A flush.

Update on my last comment - forget it. It's 7yrs old so can you put me down for belts to be changed and a flush. I'll talk to Geoff about anything else to do on the day.
Cheers,
Terry

Hi Flack, with regards to the above, is this is the recommended interval as stated by LR for belts or flush? In a lot of previous posts on this subject (gearbox flush) I'm sure we were led to believe that ZF recommend a flush from around 60 to 70,000 miles and that is what a lot of forum members did. Having followed this advice myself I can only report that the oil that was removed was BLACK and that after the flush there was a definite improvement in the gearbox operation. Did mine at around 78,000. Doing it at this stage was believed to be a preventative measure. Or were you referring just to the belts? 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE
gvif with reversing camera
V8 brakes with new EPB module and shoes
Later D4 grille
Alive tuning remap
Mazda MX5
Ferguson ted20 tractor
Hyundai Getz 1.4 (wife's )

This is for belts only, nothing to do with the gearbox, Geoff is the one in the know about the gearboxes'..

I'm quite keen on getting a flush done (and a remap if possible on the 3.0 litre), but not sure I need anything else done yet (MY2011, 50,000 miles)
