Trailer Electrics plugged in causing Multiple Faults ??

I plug in my trailer tent and drive a short distance, maybe less than a 1/3 mile and get HDC, Transmission Fault, Suspension Fault etc. Unplug the trailer electrics and tow and the D3 is fine !

What's going one here, D3 socket / electrics faulty ??? Discovery 3 2007 HSE

probably the brake light circuit.

THe trailer indicator on the dash flashes ok I assume ?

had exactly the same recently and it was a dodgy brake light bulb in the trailer lights Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car
