speaking of the RRS ones, how has AndrewS got on with his when used off road.
I used mine off road once (Last Wiltshire trip) and had to get them fully refurbished as there was so much rim/spoke missing!!!, I assume due to their extra width over the D3 wheels? end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

Think its a driver thing tbh....
I've got RRS wheels and MTR's on mine and i've had no problems, no nicks or blemishes that weren't there when i brought them.
Don't forget that the tyre wall will take most of the impact damage before you get to the actual rim, unless your actually sliding about and slide into a rock etc. I was there last Wiltshire trip and it wasn't that bad....

I don't have MTR's on them, so was wondering how much of a difference they made.
Bound to be a driver thing but I lost balance weights and everything on all 4 wheels, not sure what I would have done differently to stop that as I certainly wasn't being gungho and alwasy took the easy option if there were two..
Got MTR's on HSE wheels and still got light surface scratching on the spokes of them so probably is me end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......
