vehicle is asleep

HI All
New to the forum so learning alot from here.
The airbag light has come on and l want to check wires and connections under the seats, Read the forum you say make sure the vehicle is asleep does this mean leave it with key out or to disconnect the battery ?
Any advice on the matter please.

Turn it off with the window open so keys don't get locked in and wait for the handbrake light to go out then its asleep usually 10-25 mins then you can pull bonnet catch through open window (another reason for leaving window open) and pull bonnet and disconnect battery and release air bag or what you need to do:thumbsup:

Well done it no change but while l had the wiring out from under seat l found that one of the wires before the multi plug had been trapped and the insulation had been rubbed off and you could see the copper wire.
Is their any fuses that it might have blow cause after taping it and reseting it still light on.l think the wire goes to the pretensioner.

Thanks
Stu
