Hi anybody renewed their car insurance recently? I've had a huge jump. Right it's a newer car but based on what I paid last year and taking in account the increase for the new car I'm up about £200 on last year, everybody's been driving a year longer and sons over 25 now. over £700 now and live in a low crime area. both kids have ther own cars and don't live at home. Looks like some serious phone calls called for.
Anybody getting good quotes including off road use? Will give NFU and A plan a call. suggestions welcomed. Discovery 4 HSE Montalcino Red

Discovery 4 XS Marmiaris teal gone.

part of it will be ipt.............insurance bloody premium tax 9.5%another tax supported by slippy George
if nothing else do go compare or similar..........and watch exactly what your getting with off road cover.
get it firmly in writing,,,,they are very reluctant on that one...and with many its not even mentioned in the very long policy doc..

Had my renewal letter through from Aviva for £860 for a disco 4 (61 plate) and disco 3 (57 plate). Up again on last year. Looked around and went with admiral and got each car for about 250. Definitely not worth staying with your existing insurance company. That was going to be the third year that i would have been insured by aviva had I not looked around. figures above include protecting no claims. D3 Java Black 57 Plate SE, Night Breakers, Grabber ATs, Sidelight LEDs and best of all - Narpy torch. loads more to buy.
D4 61 plate XS (12Mod Year)
BabyRRR - gone and completely forgotten

Does your Aviva policy cover off-road driving?

Just spent 5 mins on comparison sites and already got it down by £270 so will be calling elephant to get them to match it on Monday. Got both cars with them, they are part of admiral but don't offer the multicar discounts so may be time to switch anyway. MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

It's a Lottery in my opinion. I was with A Plan last year, very competitive indeed. Come renewal it was way off everything else I looked at.
Went to Autonet Insurance for just over £220 Fully Comp.
We will see...... Stew,
2010 D4 gone but I really loved it
Went back to Merc - C350 AMG

Every year I play elephant vs admiral on the respective comparison & companies own webpages, then phone whom ever im with that year to get them to match the lowest price- they always do as theyre (technically) the same company. Its due soon, but last year I paid c.£700 for a 2014 BMW 320d xdrive estate, 2015 volvo XC70 and a 2008 DB9.... not bad at all really, but guess its a lottery these days.
