| Strange noise between 40 and 50 |

Hi All,
Ever since I picked up my D3 in February, there has been a droning noise between 40 and 50 mph which only happens in 5th gear.
Nothing before and nothing afterwards, it doesn't do it in any other gear or any other speed.
One garage said faulty gearbox, another said faulty prop shaft, local LR dealer acknowledged there was a problem but need it for a day or 2 to investigate, the most recent is that the gearbox is changing into 5th too early (around 41mph and 1600 revs), they also mentioned a possible software upgrade.
Has anyone come across this before. 2011 Discovery 4 XS in Fuji White
