Yep, CB. PMRs are just pants over all but very short distances, esp in-car to in-car.

One other thing to bear in mind in relation to cb's is that if you go for a hand held one they are pretty useless in a car unless you have an external aerial. Cheers Ian

Got an Alan 42 CB which easily transports between any of my cars, each of which is fitted with an aerial and cable, and a power supply. It's a great reliable unit. I have a set of pmr radios too, but rarely use them.

CB. Don't use it except for lanes so it's not fixed in the car permanently.There are two rules for success,
1. Never tell everything you know.

I didn't think CBs would be the popular choice and not something I own. I do have a few PMRs though that have a really good range.

We use pbr uhf radio's good for 10/30+ miles dependant on terrain
Have fair few hand helds and 6 mobile,and being kenwood I can program myself MY24 Defender 90 X-Dynamic HSE
