Frontrunner roofrack - fitment time |
|
Here is the "official" feed-back on time spend fitting roof-rack : One and half hours !!
Obviously one starts with the front brackets as they are not moveable - then you have to position the other 6 to accept the racks' legs - while lowering the rack. The side bolts one can still fasten with power drill, but the ones that fit into rail must be fastened with flat spanner - not much space.
Then I realised that the front legs are actualy resting on the bolts than go into the roof, so I had to unfasten, force the rack down and re-fasten. This last bit not included in the time above.
Luckily ones mood is different while preparing for a trip compared to after the trip - if it took the same time to remove I would leave it on permanently !
