Insurance help required
I've been on a 7 day drive away policy with my new car. Because I've been on holiday I just got the chance to call the AA to transfer the car over now. They won't quote me because it's got side steps added and needs to go to full underwriting team who aren't in until Monday. Dealer insurance runs out tomorrow! I might have to go with the full quote from LR which was rediculouslu expensive!
If you want to refit advise insurers when so doing. Are they really likely to charge an additional premium?

We're the side steps dealer fitted from new?
If so, my insurer told me they count as being part of the standard equipment.Andy

Try NFU, their rates have now become far better after they went sky high a few years ago, accepted mine with the mods including a remap to 240 BHP. They said an improvement like that shows I care for the vehicle and obviously look after it!Nick

No they were dealer fit when in bought the car second hand last week and that's the problem - if factory fitted then no issue!

Sorted out by Jamie at A-Plan. As good a price as any of the comparison sites and nice to talk to a real person!
