Hi all I’m thinking of blanking my egr valves off. I know the kits are cheap. My question is is it really as easy as that simply remove the innards do I need a patch for ecu’s or any other tips appreciated.
My D3 is a 2008 I modified in anyway

Yes you will need a patch applied asthe Car will throw up an amber engine warning light on the dash after a few days
Also you need to ensure you leave the pipes in place as an MOT tester may notice they are missing and fail the car.
Worth the effort though (one of mine stuck open and caused an engine fire so I know from bitter experience)
Must stop buying shiny toys....

Buy the simple blanking kit that leave the pipes in place.
If you have a GAP IID Bluetooth then I think the delete can be done over the internet from Bell Auto Services...don't quote me, give them a call. Also, you could get a nice remap at the same time and release some more torque Visitor from fullfatrr.com
