CORROSION ON REAR WINDOW SILLS 54 PLATE D3
HI THE WARRANTY ON MINE RUNS OUT NOV 07 SO WAS HAVING A LOOK AROUND AND NOTICED THE REAR DOOR WINDOW SILLS ARE CORRODING (BUBBLING UNDER THE PAINT) NEAR THE DOOR HANDLE END. THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW SILL IS ALSO BUBBLED IN THREE PLACES. MY 94 DISCO (WHICH IS FOR SALE BY THE WAY) HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BUT ONLY AFTER 11 YEARS, SO A BIT DISAPPOINTED TO SEE IT SO EARLY ON A D3. WILL BE GOING TO DEALER FOR COMMENT/REPAIR/REPLACEMENT IN A WEEK OR SO.

Have you had any of the glass replaced.
The fitters do a lot of damage to the paint under
the glass when they cut the broken one out and it will start to rust quickly.
If anyone is having a windscreen etc replaced, stay
with the fitter and paint around the sills after he has removed the glass
(tell him you want to do this when you make the booking).
Unfortunately i fit windscreens for a living.
Are you sure its bubbling under the strip it might be just the rubber?. I had exact same problem with mine on both rear passenger doors and were replaced under warranty.
