Advice on RRS > D4 needed

Hi guys,

Looking for some advice, and figured here is as good a place as any to ask!

I'm currently driving a 2014 RRS HSE Dynamic and previous to that I drove a 2010 RRS HSE.

I am due to change again around September / October and whilst I have been looking at new sports, their pricing has just got silly.

My first HSE was £55k,my current is £74k and pricing on a new autobiography is £90k+ Which is getting just silly.

I like my toys. My current sport has pano roof, side steps, upgraded meridian sound system and dual view tv

Is there any options on new D4s where I can add th to module as I cannot seem to see it on the configuration.

I have always liked the discoverys and can see myself making the move over to one. The 7 seats whilst not needed would certainly be handy, and the extra room definitely would be.

I can see a lovely white one with privacy glass and black leather interior, but can you get dark headlining to match the dark interior? Can TV and headrest screen be added for the kids? Is it because the D4 is imminently going to be replaced that options are not really there on the build configurator?

Thanks in advance

Ross

Very limited model choices now due to D5 coming very soon so I doubt you'd get any of your choices.

Why not wait for the D5, it might give you the best of both worlds Thumbs Up

The D4 I believe has never had black headlining. It's basically pot luck now that production is coming to an end.

I've owned MY10 HSE and MY13 Black Edition RRS and wasn't prepared to pay RRS2 premium

I looked at D4 but didn't need the space and with D5 on the horizon didn't want to take the depreciation hit again so I went for DS and really glad I did

I will keep this 3 years and look at D5 next time to see what deals there are but I'm not going to pay top price to see massive depreciation which is what's happening now

I dream of the days when my FL1 lost £3k in 3 years

Well, in an interesting turn of events, I stopped in today with my LR dealer, and was looking at the D4 in their showroom, which is Fuji white and lovely black leather inside, but no sunroofs or other (in my wish list) 'desirable' spec.

Told him what I wanted and he took me outside to a landmark discovery in yulong White which was there for collection by its new owner that day.

I fell in love!

It has Ebony Windsor Leather seats with Ebony interior, Grand Black Lacquer finishers. The same Meridian Surround Sound System (825 Watts) which I have in my RRS2. The Leather Steering Wheel with Gloss Black Inserts which is also heated. Rear Seat Entertainment System for kiddies, DAB Radio and TV, so basically all my desired options! I added privacy glass and the outdoor pack which adds sidesteps, mud flaps and load liner, and want it in santorini black.

The landmark is essentially the HSE lux (which isn't available any longer) except it's been heavily discounted from what I can gather? The fact that a D5 is imminent doesn't bother me. The practicality of the D4 along with its looks are very very appealing to me and always have been. Okay, it's not got the looks of the RRS2, nor does it have e dynamic option (which is brilliant on my RRS2) but it still looks fantastic and is very practical.

I think you guys have a new convert coming to the fold in the next couple of months!
