How hard do I yank it ?
The EPB emergency release that is....?
Given it a good hard yank a number of times, and still nothing....I'm that angry I could easily break something unless I chill....AA agent on the way....I know who they've sent and they use a Discovery 3 and 4,so at least he'll know what to do"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

I used to say "if you don't think this is going to break, you're not pulling hard enough". Then someone did break it so I don't say that any more.

Nylon?
Stitching?
A nylon cord was all I could find,as the boot was completely full and there was no way I was emptying it in the rain....lesson learned in terms of where to leave rudimentary tools
Anyway,it wouldn't have mattered, the AA guy couldn't release it either as it was locked solid......he identified it was the drivers side,so he took the wheel off and eventually got it free with a succession of bigger crowbars....
The module is fine,so he's expecting brake shoe issues when I book it in tomorrow.
If there is "good" news, the local AA agents who turned up operate 7 Discoveries and all are owned personally by the mechanics,so they are well versed in the car.....not that I'll need them again
I'm hoping brake issues were what was causing the juddering, and will be cured by new shoes...time will tell
