Guys just a quick update on this for others future reference
Managed to get it to Land Rover at Brock in Lancashire and it took two days for them to get around to having a look.
Answer was turbo has gone!!!!
My answer was fix it please
There answer was "NO PROBLEM THAT WILL COST YOU £6'500"
My answer was "YOU ARE TAKING THE " no thank you I shall source another garage.
Managed to get my D4 recovered from Land Rover and taken to Chorley to a garage where the guy has done these a few times now. Wagon was in his yard by about mid day yesterday and got a phone call this afternoon letting me know that the body is off and the high power turbo was cracked and obviously not working
I've arranged to have both turbos replaced and belts changed at the same time as it will save problems and cost in a few thousand miles.
Looks like I may have it back by Tuesday at this rate and at a fraction of the cost - £3'000 which I think is more than a fair price for parts and labour.
If all goes well and she comes back good as new ill post up the details of the garage and POC should anyone else face the same drama in my neck of the woods "Your mind is like a parachute! It will only function when open"!

Others will no doubt advise you of other jobs which could be done, to advantage, with the body off.
