Looking at the pics on my phone Glaisdale Rigg and The Old Whitby Road are one and the same, funnily enough I took my pics in virtually exactly the same spot as you only I was travelling in the opposite direction
Would love to do Rutland Rigg, I would be a little concerned about the rocky section and choosing the correct line due to lack of off road experience but the rest of the lane is long enough to drive along turn around and turn back.
Tamshoe, Looking at the maps Danby Beacon is close to Glaisdale Rigg, hopefully at the weekend I'm going to head out for a spot of greenlining maybe Glaisdale Rigg then Danby Beacon or Rutland Rigg (turning round at the steps), not sure when I'll be going yet but once I know i'll drop you a PM if you'd like to join me?

If there's a laning trip being planned, I'd be interested in tagging along (depending on the date) and quite happy to do Rutland Rig in either direction (including the steps). MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

Rudland Rigg looks good, there's a similar stepped route near me in Bolton. I've not yet had the minerals to try it despite seeing a video of a brand new FFRR doing it

If you like steps, try West Cam Road in the Dales.

Is west Cam road just outside Horton in Ribblesdale? I have been eyeing up a few lanes around there while walking but haven't had chance to drive them yet. [/quote]D3 HSE TDV6 Auto. Bonatti Grey.
