Is the key covered under warranty
Hi all,
My D4 key is starting to have the rubber peel off and the graphics have all come off.
With the rubber coming off, is this something i could perhaps get under warranty?

I had my keys replaced under warranty because the rubber was coming off.
Three years later, and the rubber is coming off the replacements!!

I had same issue with my Evoque keys a few years ago. Replaced under warranty. Same is starting to happen with Disco keys, but it's an extended warranty this time - I will be using the don't ask don't get approach at the next service.MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

Do the innards from the D4 key slip straight into those? I don't like the silver edged versions I have - too blingy! I cant access eBay at work to check the descriptions in the links.

It does appear that this is a common problem. I had mine repaired (replaced) when it went for a service. I do have an extended warranty, but can't recall, if I ever knew, if it was done under the warranty or just as a freebie. I suspect warranty. Now, perhaps 18 months later, there are signs of it happening again. Not one of LR's best design successes I feel.

on the LR052882 repair KIT, the type of rubber/plastic is different, less "rubbered" (more hard plastic, you cannot see the soft layer like the old one) may be to avoid the old type damage.Discovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition
