Dual Use Mattress for Oztent RV1 and Disco 3

Hi all,
Im currently working and living up in the highlands of Scotland and using my Disco 3 and Oztent RV1 for accommodation as in a very rural spot..

I currently have a flock (cheap) airbed that i use in either the disco or the tent, i recently got a tiny puncture in the bed which was a B***er to find but easy to fix.

so my question is does anyone have a good solution for a more reliable and comfortable mattress that i can use in both configurations and will be more dependable and wont leak haha..

thank you in advance
Rob

p.s if anyone has a suggestion that is for sale please PM me

Not exactly compact but I use a cheap ikea foam mattress with a thermarest underneath, both on a camp cot. Comfy as a comfy thing. Thumbs Up

Has anyone got a oztent rivergum mattress, i know there not cheap but I'm spending 3 weeks of every month away from home so don't mind paying for a better comfort if they deliver what they state on their website etc

Not the smallest when packed but have a look at Duvalay sleeping bag.

This is a misnomer as it is not a sleeping bag at least not quite.

The bottom part of the bag contains either a 2.5cm or 4.5cm memory foam matress (no chance of puncturing this.

The top half is either a 4.5 or 10 tog quilt.

The top and bottom are joined down one side and the bottom and the top is very much larger than the bottom.

I recently ordered one for my caravan and it looks really good but I have not yet used it but could be a solution for you?

Robin

Hi,
good call just been looking at these, my only concerns are that they are made as toppers for caravan/motorhome seats .. So not sure if it will be comfortable on hard disco floor or when in oztent on a cold floor .. but it does look good saying that.

well its between this and the river gum i must admit haha

Hiya,

Just curious if you chose the Duvalay, the rivergum, or Option C ?

Newbie D3 owner here (picking it up next week), but with a view to some late winter/early spring Scotland touring next year so very interested in your choice ! I've got the same concerns about the Duvalay 'needing' to be on top of a seat cushion, but it looks so much nicer than my current, rather tired looking Thermarest...

Cheers.

Surely the 4.5 Memory Foam Option on a camp cot/or similar would be perfect.

Listen to DSL he has the experience in these matters.... Whistle
