cant wait to get "out and about"! Would like to catch up with some Perth WA owners too. Anyone "chipped" theirs?? Is the DP31 chip the best to get? Have heard of Turochip - but assume not available in Oz.
cheers

You weren't doing the deal at Alf & Troy's last Tuesday were you?
I was picking my brand spanker Stornoway Grey off the showroom floor at the same time.

Gents, its a TDV6; yep bought it from Barbagallo's last Saturday morning - hence the ramp photo (car yard). Might need to take that Expedition Rack off if its going to fit in the carpark at work!
Have plenty of questions (but no hurry - its just that I am joining my brother and some Adelaide Jeep Club members on a trip from Adelaide to Ayres Rock next year and I will need advice on some mods). I have started reading all the threads on this site but specific questions are:
Which brand of Long Range Tank to go for?
What is best brand of battery to buy (deep cycle) that will fit under the bonnet in the space provided (to run accessories off). Do I need to rewire the 12V point in the back to cope with running a 40l fridge?
Anyone fitted a Turbochip or Diesel Power (DP31) Chip? What is considered to be best?
Anything specific I need to know about the tow hitch - we tow a dual horse float?
Best value AT tyres for 18inch rims? (Coopers?)
Any help appreciated!!!!!!!!MY2010 D4 HSE 3.0, e-diff, 19inch MTR's; LLAMS Height adjustor, LR f & r light guards, LR side steps, LR bright finish side door mouldings; LR/Mantec G4 front bash plate, LR G4 Winch kit, Warn 9500lb Winch; GOE compressor guard, Uniden UHF, LR bright finish roof rails, LR G4 driving light kit, LR G4 ladder, 4 x extra rear compartment 12V sockets, Traxide dual battery system and Optima Yellowtop battery, ORS drawer system / fridge slide, LED rear compartment lighting.

I'll let other answer the long range(r) tank and engine management system questions.
I have an Optima Yellow Top as the second battery, perfect fit, the charging controls and all the other parts from Traxide Tronics. Great instructions.

Yes you do need to run a separate supply to the rear. I did it because I have 2 frigs in the back.
The only "legal" ATs are the General Grabbers. Cooper does not have a legal size 18" AT or MT. See my post regarding low profile tyres at low pressures.
http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic14769.html06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.

Yokahamas are also legal, slighly oversize but with the limit (unless NSW is different from WA)
They did get some in but not many. It would be interesting to see how they compare to the General grabbers.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Exact same reason I got my Disco. Doing the trip next June/July, with mates coming from Brisbane. Why is the fear of long words called hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia?
