Cat n Fiddle is an interesting road, although full of motorbikes, which can be reckless at times. There are average speed cams on it now, but many seem to ignore them.
From the Buxton end of C&F, turn left into Buxton, nice town to have a browse around. It's the highest town in UK, and famous for having a cricket match called off for snow in June!
From Buxton, take the A5004 Long Hill towards Whaley Bridge. At the top turn left into Goyt Valley for a nice bit of scenery and a walk?
You can carry on through the Goyt and it will take you to a car park at Derbyshire Bridge. There a decent green lane starts and takes you back to Buxton!
There are no un-scenic roads in the Peak District! Fill your boots!

A must visit while in the area is Lady Bower and Derwent Dams on week days only unless you want to walk or hire cycles to get round them as the road round them is closed and on Bank holidays, one of the real man made marvels of England IMHO.
Blue John mines and caves are a big attraction, don't go if it's raining to get out of the rain cos them caves don't half leak
Bakewell has a good market on Mondays and gets very busy traffic wise, I hope to be there tomorrow. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
