Prospeed customer service
I don't often moan about things but would like to get some feedback in case it is just me!
I ordered a set of rock and tree sliders with inserts from Prospeed for the new car.
Ordered on line with no issues and was charged for next day delivery.
Order confirmation was sent by email, all as expected.
A week passed without any further contact and as I was going away the week after I phoned up to check they weren't going to be delivered whilst I was away.
Got through on the phone and was told that there was a couple of weeks lead time so they wouldn't be sent until I was back.
Well that was early August and still no contact or dispatch information.
It is now over a month since I ordered and despite several calls I can't get a response.
The phone generally just rings and the one time I did get through this week I was promised a call back which didn't happen.
I'm sure the products are very good but a bit of customer service would go a long way.
It would seem that they are selling products that they don't have in stock and are manufacturing once the order is received.
I don't have a major problem with that but they should be up front and say if there is a long lead time and at least keep the customer informed.
I feel like I have been misled and have no idea when they will arrive.
Hopefully I can get a response this week and get it sorted out.

I believe there were similar problems when they launched those as there were delays with the inserts and people had issues with getting updates.Andy

This implies your money was taken when the order was processed. Is this so?

Why were you charged for next day delivery. Surely a bit of a joke considering the lead time??

I had to wait for all the parts I have bought off them, but what I will say is that everything I have ever ordered, I have got. It might take time and I'm sure they could do a better job regarding customer service but what the make is of the best quality and for me well worth the wait.Dale

In this day and age of instant comms there is no excuse for not giving a quick update, quality product or not.

I paid on one of my credit cards through PayPal so I'll be able to sort the moey out if I need to.
The payment was taken when the order was placed.
I'm sure they will turn up eventually but it would be nice to know when.
I tried again on the phone today but still no answer.
I'll send an email tomorrow and see if I can get a response.
I'm just a bit annoyed that they haven't been upfront about lead time or provided any updates.
If you buy an item and pay for express delivery you would expect it to turn up quickly.
If I can't get an answer next week I'll have to think about reclaiming the money.
I'll let you know how I get on.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.

It sounds to me that they are short of working capital.
If buying from them it would appear to be prudent:-
1. Before ordering to ascertain the lead-time, if that is important to you; and
2. To use a credit card for any payment to them.
It's a shame as their products are good, although IMHO, rather expensive, even allowing for the quality of the product.
In the longer term I think they are going to have to offer better customer service otherwise they will loose goodwill.
My suggestion would be to update the website to show the number of any item in stock, and if stock is less than a trigger point, the lead time until new stock will arrive.

There are quite a few hours left today; hopefully he is aware of this thread, and will see that the concerns expressed here by his customers are addressed today, not left until next week
