Extra bungee is there to stope heavy socket set from moving about
I also added some very thin rubber mat to stop stuff falling through and reduce 'rattle' noise

Hi guys,
thanks for this informative thread - but I read through all 16 pages without finding help, so I thought I might ask:
For some reason I got the 5-seater Disco 4. I suspect that the socket for the 7-seater grab bars are installed in my car, too, just not visible. Does anyone know whether this is the case and whether I then could install the "Load Lugga" in the back?
And if not - has anyone installed it in the second row? Pictures? Usability?
Thanks for any info,
cheerio,
Thorsten

The holes are there, just hidden behind the headlining.

How much are these load luggers ? I looked on their website but cannot see it.The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.

I had the same thought about adding spacers to lower the shelf even more to get larger items up there. What I want is the 426 (large shelf,no dog guard) with the brackets from the 427 (smaller shelf, LR dog guard version) to maximize the gap from the roof.
BTW: I got a response from Mantec and they are being very helpful. I'm hoping they choose to adapt and make brackets that accommodate my situation so I don't have to hack up a perfectly good unit to make it work for me.
This post is long overdue, but I wanted to share my recent experience working with the guys at Mantec to help me achieve my ideal setup.
I contacted Mantec directly asking about my desired setup (above), big shelf, low hanging. They were very accommodating and created a new bracket to fit the larger 426-ULLDS3 but hangs lower than the standard version. This new bracket hangs as low as the 427-ULLDS3. I'm trailing this for them and they're currently on the fence as far as what to do with the new bracket and offering it as a new part # or what. So, instead of putting spacers under my shelf it's all a standard kit.
Here are some pictures: It didn't take long to completely fill the space with all my gear in the boot.
Thumbs up to Mantec!!!

Actually, in the meantime having acquired a Load Lugga and set forth to install it, I am sorry to report that at least in my case there are no holes behind the headlining.
Anyone in Switzerland want to buy a new Load Lugga?

D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 05 HSE - gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone to car heaven

Not, I'm not saying you're wrong - and I do agree that it makes no sense these things not being there. But my service guy took off the head lining and we took a look. Just to remind people that it might make sense to look first and then buy, as there might be different setups around.

We still need to find the exact holes and fit that load lugga one year later.... He won't let me pull his roof lining apart - but it's coming to that very soon MY2008 D3 - It got me hooked...gone
