Which D4 Towbar?

Hi, I'm trying to work out the best fixed towbar option for my 'new to me' 2011 Disco 4? The car has never been fitted with a towbar or electrics and I'm planning on a fixed setup.

My local Land Rover service centre wants £900+ for a fixed towbar and 13 pin electrics, which I think is a bit on the high side. A Witter bar with vehicle specific electrics is £410 but may also incur a software upgrade charge. Other independent suppliers are coming out around the £500 mark. My car is covered by a Land Rover approved used warranty and I don't want to accidentally invalidate this.

I'd welcome suggestions for the best towbar supply and install, avoiding any warranty risks but without paying £900+ for this? The car will be towing a circa 1500kg caravan around ten times a year along with a medium sized goods trailer for the many tip runs that my house and garden renovation continually dictate...

Just for info I got the dealer to fit mine and it cost nowhere near what you have been quoted ! Think it was round about £600 which I thought was ok . Yes I could of done it myself but would not of saved that much ?

Got the dealer to supply & fit the electrics on my D4 for £150 including VAT when I bought it as approved used, then bought a second hand fixed set up for £100 & fitted it myself. Only takes about 10 minutes if you are handy with the spanners Thumbs Up D4 - Stornoway Grey
