Who wouldn’t fancy one? It’s a very nice color, too.
The side boards would need to go, though....

I think it’s a homologation thing - the MoD D4 vehicles they’ve previously sold have been manufactured for China, South America, USA (like this one), etc. probably also missing VAT and whatnot other taxes. Doesn’t mean it couldn’t be registered in EU (and UK, I assume) but just means more hoops to go through.
For example, NAS rear lights have an extra illumination bulb on the side which I think is not legal in EU so one would have to change the rear clusters.

2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

Not far from me - Im happy to go for a test drive if anyone from the US wants me to....
They also sell some other entertaining stuff there as they seem to do a lot of disposal of MOD surplus equipment
From Memory they sold of Harrier Jumpjet parts and also lots of helicopters, tanks and APCs
Quite regularly have Snatch and other ex MOD Land Rovers for sale and other interesting stuff
Had a lot of these listed recently....

they are the 'only' official MOD disposal site of all types of stock
They frequently have all sorts of vehicles including armoured Jaguars and other similar stuff but its normally only for export as they are not to UK spec in every case and no UK taxes have been paid as they were surplus requirements for foreign embassies and similar places.2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

Im not surprised they need to make something back as that's out tax money!
They must of paid around £70K for that as my diesel version was booked at around £60K new so say they sell it for £30K that's cost the tax payer £40K to do around 60 miles

Doubtful that they would have had to pay VAT or car tax if it hasn’t been ever taken into use in the country. So most likely it hasn’t been 70k GBP but less.
What I think is slightly funny - or intriguing - is that there is somewhere a depot with a bunch of vehicles just waiting to get sold off or taken into use.

I don’t think you can even register an EU2 emission vehicle in 2020 in EU...

I spoke to them. Despite the website's primary (alleged) business, these vehicles aren't ex-MOD but are ex-LR. They buy the vehicles from LR fleet sales, hence the number of new vehicles listed. The tax payer is spared this loss at least!PAGODA
