As a family we are looking to take the tintent to northern Spain,
We will sail from Portsmouth to Bilbao or Santander tbc.
I have never been to this part of Spain before so I though I would ask the knowledge of the forum.
Plan is to go in August and we will have the 2 girls with us 10 & 13 .
Need pool or access to one very near by, open to having 2 different sites one on the beech and one in the mountains.
Don't really want to drive more than 3 hrs from the port.
Please share your suggestions and expirances.

speaking from Asturias, the most beautiful part of North of Spain...you can ask all you need or want!!! I will respond you of course... I recommend the area of Llanes or Ribadesella, 1 hour from Santander port (Brittanys Ferryes terminal) the Asturian coast and near of the high mountains of the Picos de Europa (1 hour driving) many things to see and prehistoric sites or museums Jurassic (very interesting geological area ) good beaches and good gastronomy. very mild, nothing hot much closer to a British climate and not the very hot summers that so stereotyped Spanish climate...in really is the Andalusian climate and not Asturian cli
