Anyone had any dealings with Kentdale Landrover in Kendal? Can anyone recommend this dealer?

You even have a choice of 3 routes from Kendal to Torver, including a very nice little ferry hop over the Mere Wink

They are both under the same ownership - a Mr Hadwin? but they are run separately. Therefore both have the same ethic and I personally would deal with either. Lakeland at Torver was the original in the group and have done better deals for me if that helps.

Same owners, yes.... but one is perhaps more 'corporate slick' while the other is more 'farmer (and LR enthusiast) friendly'. For me, I prefer not having to put a tie on just to buy a car......... Wink

If you want the 'Yes Sir, No Sir, Oh My! Sir has got a big one' then perhaps you should stay in the town.

If you want 'What do you want, When do you want it, Thanks for the business' (with smiles) then head for the ferry.

Actually, I think there is a very good busines model here. They have two dealerships in the same general area which would appear to compete with eachother, and yet they cater for a wider audience (with more, happier customers) than one single dealership could possibly do IMHO.

Hi Commando,

I live slightly north of you.

I can thoroughly recommend Kentdale, Dealer of the year this year yet again.

I have had some 6 Discoverys from them over the years, and have an SE in Bonnatti, bought this May, which has been no trouble.

They really do bend over backwards for the deal, and when it comes to Customer Service, I reckon theyd be bad to beat.

Distance-wise from you, far nearer and quicker than Torver.

See Mark Theaker in Sales, no collars and ties there, just enthusiasm !

If you need to PM me,please do.

i wish i hadn't bothered!

i tried to swop my D3 for one of there many pre registered ones and got nothing but what can only be described as mindless drivle!

it took me about an hour to manage to get him to value mine yet more flaneling,

a waste of a couple of hours if you ask me.

straight back to Lakeland 30 mins nice chat, nice brew, new D3 bought and paid for £1750 less than Kentdales Pre Reg. Confused

they may be same company but miles appart

the little guy with glasses was nice though.
