rear diff lock iid

hi guys

been going through the iid settings and notice it says that a rear locking diff is fitted and gives the option of yes or no

certainly don't wish to mess around with settings like this and wondering how i find out please

mines a 2005 7 x seater, it has the terrain response system if that's any indication

also fitted a cruise module , but can i find it on the iid , can i hell, i expect its staring me in the face in how to activate it

was wondering if someone may be so kind please to tell me where it is

thks again for the great help

am slowly working through the list Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

meant to say a massive thks for the fitting info , was nearby racking using a stanley knife in cutting out the hole for the paddle , also the hooks under the airbag were fun finding

I think to check for rear diff lock either climb under the car and look for the solenoid and wiring or engage low range and look at 4x4 info on screen, no locked symbol means no locking diff fitted, you might have to drive a short distance literally metres for the lock symbols to show, ps it only does 35/40mph flat out in low range Mr. Green

hi lynalldiscovery

bless u for the reply

i will have a look underneath as i've not got the lcd display , funny enough been reading about that and how difficult it is to fit it

am having too much fun at the moment in trying to track this srs light , fitted a new pre tensioner , well second hand , but the light it still there

i can see me having to remove the headliner to check the side curtain airbags , as i don't know where else to go with this , all the impact sensors are fine

thks again

Don't get your hopes up, highly unlikely you have one.

What does the IID tool say ref the SRS light?
Under seat wiring used to be favourite on cars that had the drivers seat in same position for years then new owner moved seat and hey presto light came on.
Im surprised one of the gurus havent offered their advice on this, have you started a fresh thread on the SRS light?

dsl , to be honest i've convinced myself it isn't fitted due to it being just a base model

even though i'm pulling my hair out with this srs system

but am still extremely happy , as i'm use to only having a vcu , lol

think though i will only have the centre and front locking diffs, has the terrain system , which i think on its own is a vast improvement over a basic vcu system

wish i had got a disco earlier , adore driving it and will put the icing in the cake if it snows this year
