Some basic green laning around Dartmoor/East Cornwall |
|
I'm after an area to take the family on some easy green laning in or around Dartmoor or East Cornwall to get them interested.
Any ideas?

Hi. Not really looked into it that much. Will have to check out maps etc. - must be some around SE Cornwall / Dartmoor etc. - certainly a lot of dodgy roads...! Benny

Sadly I'm floating around off the coast of Brazil at the moment, but I'm back in the uk on the 6th Nov. I will have a look at the maps and see what there is.

Sadly? Why, are you on a shipwreck?
Seriously though, we are going to Falmouth over the new year and wonder if anyone knows of any mild green lanes in that area. There'll be a Freelander 2, a Disco 2 and a Landcruiser.

I'm on the "Oceanic Endeavour" which is a seismic vessel. I'm a Coxswain. The weather is rubbish down here at the moment and its work so I would rather be at home.

sailorboi - bet the weathers o.k! what about al them there pirate types? I was around there couple of years back on a VLCC - felt a bit like sitting ducks, we did have fire hoses and some barbed wire though! Did some bunkering off Benin - bunker barge was battened down / portholes welded over etc etc.
29salcombe - I know what you mean about rather being at home... I'm here to New Year just to add to it! Benny

I am in the congo at the moment and have worked out of West Africa for about 2 years with no issues - touch wood. My comapny also don't work in Nigeria where it is all happening at the moment so that is ok. I am lucky this year and am getting Xmas and New year at home, only got 17days to go 07 Java Black TD V6 D3, EGRs Blanked, Tow bar, Full dog guard & divider, LED Spots , DRLs, GG ATs, RLD Sump guard, RLD Spare Wheel Protector, D4 LED Rear Lights, Limo tints on boot and Midnight tint on rear windows, Kenwood screen with Garmin nav, Rear cameras, D4 Steering wheel with flappy paddles, T-max split charge system, Tree sliders, Prospeed roof rack & Ladder, Alisport fast road inter cooler,

Bit of a thread resurrection, but was searching for any info on some easy green lanes on Dartmoor and this thread popped up - rather than start a new one and all that....
Off to Dartmouth for a week, then doing the East Devon trek day on 18th Sept. So been looking to see if there are any easy green lanes I could go and visit while I am down there... anyone? MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff
