I think I'll be lucky if I get 20k out of mine so not impressed. I'm tempted to buy a set of verdes now at that price.I'm to old to know everything......

That would be such a shame. In the correct size, it's the only sensible 20", road biased, but mud and snow capable tyre available.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Well initial impressions are good.....bearing in mind I've just gone from well-worn Zeros, which in my experience go hard and unyielding when worn and tend to tramline,so any fresh tyre was going to feel better.
It was -2c this evening and the journey was on tight, greasy rural back roads.Very sure-footed in the conditions, and a much more pliant ride, the car was definitely less crashy in potholes.....A couple of miles of fast A-roads to finish confirmed they were pretty quiet too.
a good start and I'm expecting them to get even better as they scrub in...so strong first impressions in potentially tricky conditions. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

I'll definitely look towards the GG at3 for my 2nd set on 19's....I'm still concerned by the racket the last ones made at road speed.....I never had an issue with the GG 18's on my D3 so will need to hear a bit more feedback before I commit to them "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

It was the noise towards the end of their life that made me change the GG ATs on the last car, they were 19s and it was dreadful.I'm to old to know everything......

How are you getting on with them after a month?

Still really like them.
This week was my first real opportunity to try them in low temperatures, and I found them very predictable on greasy cold roads.
I've never had dedicated Winter tyres, and these are my first All-Season tyres, but in comparison to what I've had before they are definitely more surefooted on cold roads.
I've only ever used an AT tyre during the winter,If we get the light dusting of snow that's forecast it will be interesting to see how they perform "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Late to this thread but I have been running the All Season Verdes on 19's and they are far superior to the Scorpions I had as OE and the GG ATs I ran subsequently.
They've been on the vehicle since July (c 5k miles) and they been excellent in all temperatures from 35c in the South of France to the -8C temperatures we experienced this week. I have had no issues with grip and the handling has proved a revelation - better than the Scorpions by a country mile. No problems in snow or ice the past few weeks so wouldn't be put off by the tread pattern either.
Noise levels are obviously way lower than the ATs which were fab for tyre wear but at the cost of handling and noise levels.
Fuel consumption is a contentious issue but mine has gone up by around 3mpg since fitting these tyres.
If you need a road biased tyre I would highly recommend these.

They may be All Season, but as pure road tyres, does anyone miss the Mud + Snow capability of the standard Scorpions?
The Scorpions do seem to be short lived and getting very costly too; I'd like to find a better alternative that still has the wide sipes that self cleer themselves of mud and snow.

The Zeros might look a bit more aggressive but I don't think they really have any mud capability to be honest that would make you miss them. I'm seriously thinking about going for the Verdes next for the summer. Zeros are fine but after 20k on mine they feel dodgy on any ice, ABS cuts in very quick under braking.

I am with Bumpkin - I had exactly the same experiences after my zeros started to wear. Do I miss them ? Nope - tramlined badly and wore out at 18k miles. Pirelli have superseded them with the Verde range and from my experience they have done a good job. I did have a quick nostalgic look at my spare tyre today which is a zero and the tread isn't that aggressive at all. Of course tyre choice is a really controversial topic on the forum so I respect everyone's views. My experience having run the zeros, General ATs and now the Verde All Seasons is that the new tyre is a good one. I was lucky to speak to Dean at AjS and he pointed me to the Verdes and I think he made a good call.

Both the Verde and the Zeros are current tyres and the both have been around for a few years now (I even had some Verdes on a FL2 for a short while back in 2012 when ATS told me that they had replaced the Zeros in Pirelli's range! )
I would give the Verde a go, but I must retain that mild off road and snow cability of the Zeros. Although to their credit the Verdes, with their All Season rating, should fair better on very cold, but snow free, surfaces.
