Clarification required for FBH behaviour in graphite D4?

Hi,

We have a '16 D4 graphite (which is just plainly awesome!) without the timed climate pack.

The FBH exists (I've seen it under the bonnet!), but should it do anything? I've read loads of forum posts but am slightly confused as to what it should do if you don't have the timed and/or remote control for it.

Secondly, if it is already connected etc, is it just a case of getting the timed climate option enabled in the computer to be able to use this feature? I'm not so interested in the remote option (at the moment). Again, I've tried researching this, but am not 100% clear.

Thanks for your help

Chris

If temp falls to 4* it fires up and runs to warm the engine up faster. Sponsors on here can fix you up with a remote Thumbs Up

think it is 5, but must also have at least around 1/4 tank full, unlike the 3 version it won't smoke much and is hard to see working (feel the temp, carefully). I would be straight to the dealer if you satisfy these and it doesn't work.

Thanks, I'll see if it comes on when it's next cold.

Not so worried about getting the remote, but the timed climate control would be useful... is this the thing thats enable-able using the iidtool?

Once enabled, it will work when temperature is below 15degrees, so all autumn winter and spring you can use it to pre warm the car and defrost it.
You can tHen continue to use it on timer (or remote) all year round and it will vent instead of heat. Useful if you leave it in an open car park and the suns been shining down on it all day.

Remote of course means you can use it even when you've forgotten to set the timer.
On your year, the timer can be set differently on mon-fri and sat/sun Thumbs Up
Give me a shout if you want it enabling. Thumbs Up

I would definitely recommend having the remote, I consider it to be the best modification I have made to my D4, although I do leave early for work.

Altox GPS module is the dogs dangles when it comes to controlling the FBH.

You control it from your phone via call, text or app, set the burner run time, and lets not forget with the GPS model you can track your cars location and movements too Thumbs Up
