Cooper LTZ & Disco 3 Alloys for Disco 4 - thoughts?

Hello Chaps, I've had my LR4 for a year now - new tires will be due soon. The dealer I got her from picked her up at auction in Las Vegas; current tires are not really cut out for Utah winters.

I'm heading to Phoenix & Tucson after Christmas. I saw this ad on a US Facebook site:



Guys says he's swapping to 18" wheels so these will be surplus to requirements. Says tires are excellent with 4k miles on them, LR3 alloys have been powder coated but have a few scratches.

what are thoughts on
a) Cooper LTZ - good, bad, ugly?
b) Disco 3 rims on a 4? Might run them for a while and get my other set powder coated - then keep as spares.

Price for both is about $300 less than new tires.

Good combination - the D3 HSE wheels are the best design I reckon? Devonchilliman had satin black ones on his D4 (not Coopers though)

I have the coopers but in 20" and very happy with them good manners in all weather. We get a little snow on occasion and they were fine. They are currently on for about 25000 miles and look to be about half worn. 2007 D3 HSE Artic Frost Silverish

They do look very cool powdercoated. I think I'm sold on the idea unless he sells them in the meantime.
