What is your decibel level in your D3

Recently I swapped some 6mm deep Pirelli Scorpion Zeros for the origional Wrangers that came with the car both have 6mm tread i never noticed the road noise with the scorpions but to me it is noisier and the ride is harsher i used a decibel meter app on my ipgone and with heater and radio turned of and at 70 mph it was reading a steady 75db, the phone was sat in front of the sat nav screen, am i imagining an increase in noise and the harsh ride,

Ive noticed increases in tyre noises on various land rovers over the years, but you soon ignore it and dont even notice it.

I'm havaing noise issues on my car as well but I can't quite work out from your post which is the noisy tyre. Are you saying the Scorpions are noisy or the Wranglers?

Ah ok, I had problems with Wranglers on my D3 whereby they would 'tramline' in the motorway and throw the car all over the place. Not good tyres in my experience, certainly not when worn.

What age are the tyres, the dot code will confirm, it sounds like the compound is hard hence the noise, never found scorps worse than the HPs, have Wranglers on currently without issue, but will be putting my Coopers LTZ's on in the next few days Thumbs Up

Scorpion Zeros definitely the quietest on my D3 over last 11 years. But they last half as many miles as some others.
2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
