Afraid not, 'Hers' will currently only go for 10 miles before cacking itself and overheating.
Low coolant warning came up and she kept driving.....'I was only a few miles away from home and just thought I'd get you to look at it when you got home'

Why do they do that? Mine did something similar with her Freelander - alternator failed & warning light came on whilst she was on M4 near Swindon - she carried on with lights on, heater going for about another 50 miles at night before eventually the car stopped with no juice left for hazards etc on very dangerous section of dual carriageway with no street lights, cue panic! "I didn't realise it was that serious & wanted to get home as I didn't want to break down on the side of the motorway in the dark"...D4 - Stornoway Grey

Yes, Mrs Ed has form unfortunately, 3 engines lunched in the last 10 yrs.....
No idea the car had a temperature gauge, never heard of coolant, the mind boggles!
There have been SERIOUS chats about car maintenance and the new D4.
