i've a 2016 disco 4. Mrs got in this morning foot on the break all lights lit up then all went out and no engine start.I took a look and tried, pressed starter switch all pre lights come on foot on the break press starter and she fires up,
any ideas why it initially wouldn't start please??
Thanks in advance

Ive just read something similar on another post, mentioning about a break servo? that its not registering enough pressure on the break to start the engine?
Is this a possibility? and how is this fixed?

Have you thought that Mrs actually didn't depress the brake pedal properly? - I got a call at work once - 'I'm stranded - your bloody car wont start' - when I asked had she pressed the pedal, not hovered a foot over it, it started

I'd leave it a while before convincing yourself of a fault. If the brake pedal has been depressed before being applied for a start it will take more of a shove during the start. Typically people instinctively press the pedal after a seat adjustment or sometime just to get themselves comfy.
