Body coloured D4 door handle skins - Anyone tried these?
Looking at options to body colour my door handles Santorini Black and just had a quick look myself and surprised at how easy it is to unclip the outside of the existing ‘oberion grey’ handles off and refit. Didn’t attempt to take off the rear cover piece off as this felt a bit less removable than the main handle part.
Seems a quick and reasonably priced way of changing to body coloured handles (£40 in Santorini Black) as opposed to me attempting to do myself or be without them whilst I get them sprayed.
Cheers in advance Luke

Thanks Wiggs.
Quality on par with originals in your opinion? From the description you re-use the rubber cover for the unlock button.
Cheers again!Luke

I did them myself, as in took them off and got them sprayed but that was before I realised you could buy them so cheaply.
It would be hard to get them sprayed any cheaper than that, plus when you remove the short piece the clips break so while mine have stayed on the car and seem sturdy there is no way I'd bother if you could just buy new ones unbroken and pre painted.

I fitted a set of these yesterday (and the black side vents from the same vendor). Quality and fit was good. You have to swap the rubber microwsitch cover from your original skins onto the new ones - takes no time but worth knowing in case your originals are damaged MY12 D4 HSE Marmaris Teal

Very smart in silver.
Have been meaning to update on this. Turns out the 'skins' (the ones that replace the outer section of the two-part handle with button in AREN'T available in Santorini Black - they are just gloss black.
Quality of them is pretty good to thought I'd put them on in place of the original grey ones, particularly as the old peanut butter cleaning trick hadn't removed the marks.
VERY easy to fit - even managed to get the originals off without breaking the clips which was sadly satisfying.
They look good. Car is to embarrassingly filthy to show a photo but it's in the dealers on Monday for some bits so once they've cleaned it all up, will post a couple of pics with the silver lettering also.
Thanks everyone for feedback.Luke

Now with a clean car - photos will actually do justice to the new handle skins and the silver lettering.
Very pleased with the improvement. They aren't Santorini Black but IMO look a lot better than the blemished grey ones that were on it previously. A definite thumbs up on both the skins and the letters
Just also been told by PowerfulUK they have D4'facelift grilles in stock now to fit pre-facelift D4's in a number of different colours. If I can sneak one of these past SWMBO I'll send a photo of it in place.
For £120 may be a very reasonable way to get near facelift look without replacing a perfectly good set of Xenon lights which reading other posts, may actually be brighter than the facelift ones, albeit without sexy DRL's in place of less-than-useful fairy lights.
