Replacing High Level Brake Light on MY15
Hi All
After an annoying interaction with my garage door I need to replace my High Level Brake light . I have the new unit but wondered if there was any pit falls with getting access to remove the old one and swap them over . In particular does the head lining have to be moved or manipulated at all.

I believe they're a right to remove. I remember reading up on somebody removing it to replace it with the spoiler. And it wasn't easy by any shot.
I think it was Narpy

Having done it myself and witnessed a professional doing it, it is most definitely a professional job. It took 2 of us a very long day; the pro did the next one in around 30 minutes, including 2 cups of tea and a bit of a chat and with zero damage to the bodywork. It was fascinating watching him work and as it was his first time removing a light from a D3 I think he enjoyed the challenge.

Simon, no headline dropping but you will you need to remove the upper plastic panel on the inside of the tailgate, it just pulls off and knocks back on. Needs removing to connect rear brake wiring and rear screen washer pipe. Everything else is done externally.Mods:
