You can guarantee the second you don't have a warranty the repair bills will start rolling in!!
£630 odd seems a lot of money, but as we know doesn't take much to spend that sort of cash on a Disco. Although with the down grade in policy will they try and wheedle their way out of a claim even easier than they usually do. Decisions, decisions. Discovery 4 HSE

If you get a quote online, you can guarantee that they'll call you. I've done that the past couple of years, and them told them that I was just looking at the price. If you go on to tell them that you've had a quote, they always either beat your renewal and/or offer upgrades, so you might get the higher level of cover offered.

i used to have a WD warranty for a Renault Grand Espace... found that getting them to pay out was a right pain (I eventually got what car magazine involved, and they finally paid up)... wouldn't touch them with a barge pole now.
I'm currently within a 2 year LR used car warranty, but suspect I will self insure and find a decent indy when that ends.

They only cover me for 1 more year as it will be over the mileage and too old so I think I'll bite the bullet and pay up. Knowing my luck as soon as I stop something major will go wrong 2006 D3 HSE

Must admit I always found them very good on my D3.
In 6 years of ownership they replaced the air compressor, alternator and paid for 3 days of investigation chasing a wiring fault.
Was a few years ago now mind - things may of got tighter Last of the D4 HSE...
