IIDTool BT - Update
Hi All
Another question regarding y new IIDTool BT?? I have just gone into the ECU info screen and seen that there are loads of updates available on my D4 (2010/2011) but I don't know how to update these items with the IID? I have flushed the ECU but going back to the ECU info it doesn't seem to have updated any of the items?
Regards
Peter

A worthwhile update for the 2010 is to do the IPC, so you get a slightly cleaner display.
I would be careful about updating ECUs.

Always remember GAP don't work weekends, so be careful playing with your tool over this time 8)

All, thanks for the response, maybe my terminology is incorrect but when I go into the ECU info section it tells me everything that needs an update i.e San Nav, entertainment screen, ETC. I want to update these to the latest updates.
Do I need to flush the ECU to update these as all I can do on the ECU INFO section is send a email?

As has been said many times on here, don't think of ECU updates as being the same as Windows Update!
Unless you have a specific problem, then the general advice is to leave the ECU software well alone. GAP will provide you with updates using their Fast Lane service, but they are chargeable updates unless you have a Pro tool.
If you do decide to purchase any ECU updates, then make sure that your cranking battery is fully charged and that you've got a decent power supply connected too. The last thing you want is a 3 tonne brick sitting on your drive! D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT
D4 MY13 HSE Lux - RLD/IID BT
P38 RR - Sad parting
110 - Even sadder parting
S3 88" - Still going strong after 23 years of ownership
