Picked up LR4 Corris Grey HSE, Almond leather, Jan 14 year, got all round cameras. Picked up from Christchurch around 4pm and drove home in the Snow, felt like a kid in a sweetshop !!! I have two dealers close Hunters Southampton OR Guy Salmon Portsmouth. Has anyone used these two and could anyone steer me in the right direction ? Have got the 2 year L/R warranty.

Did you get it from Westover's in Christchurch? A friend uses them for his Land Rovers (he's got several) and speaks highly of them. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Yes Westovers : They were very good and helpful, would defo recommend on the sales side. I am in the Fareham area which is smack in the middle of the two mentioned dealers, Christchurch is an hour away. I did have dealings on sales with Hunters which didn't go well, they wouldn't budge or deal at all & tried flogging me finance, paint/leather protection etc etc on a £25k D4

Will be interested to see what answers you get to this one.
I bought mine from Guy Salmon Portsmouth in August and the sales experience was excellent. I've got the 5 year service pack so will need to find a recommended LR main agent for servicing.
I'd prefer to go closer to home but am willing to travel for good service - we used to travel around an hour to get decent servicing on a Honda and some Audis.
Guava at Guildford seem to get good recommendations on the forum. As do the indi West4x4 in Waltham Chase. And my understanding is that if the indi is VAT registered and services with LR parts according to LR schedule then your warranty is still valid.

I've used Hunters / HA Fox for 22years now and still see the same faces in the workshop. I have no issue with their service side.
Their sales side is another matter and one of the reasons I went to BMW (5 cars), Volvo (2 cars) and now Mitsubishi / VW (Cali).
I pass by every day on the way to and from work and cant help spot the red carpet / roped area for customer hand over.

pjm-84 good to read positive feedback from a longterm customer. Do you think it will stay that way if they get planning permission for a combined JLR dealership on the old Transit Factory site?

Have been a Guava customer for some time now and they actually listen to the customers needs and fix things! Never had any issues with warranty claims either so Guava get top marks from me 2003 BMW M5- 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

I hope so but I suspect not. I'm aware of the changes and some of the requirements being enforced upon JLR dealerships. Image seems to be the criteria.

Not sure who this appeals to but assume it a LR sales directive. If I bought a car I would tell them forget the and provide me some rubber mats FOC.

Thanks for the feedback pjm-84.
