Dakar 4x4 Dartford
I am wanting to have my new to me V8 serviced and have the gearbox flushed, ideally at one place. I have a quote from Dakar in Dartford to do both inc spark plug change.
Anybody happy to relay their experiences with them, good or bad. It's the quality of the work that I am interested in and the customer service.
Any V8 users used them?

Sorry havent a clue but just looked at their website seems well done ( I realise that may not relate to the quality of the work) and they say the right things ref flushing the gearbox and using pukka ZF oil, out of curiosity what was the price for the flush?
There is a gearbox guy in Tonbridge.

I didn't use them in the end but for financial reasons (I was short of folding) they wanted £600 to flush the gearbox and change to steel tray with seperate filter. I can't remember if they offered me a temporary car or not.
In the en4x4 as they were a good price and closer to me.
What are they asking for spark plugs, parts price is around £120 for new ones but they don't need changing often?Series 1 V8
Series 2 Hibrid V8
Discovery 3 HSE V8

My 14 year old freelander td4 bought new is still going totally strong and faultless and this is partly due to Dakar, great price, correct diagnosis of issues, they do what they say too, no short cuts. Two years ago I started my own servicing and remedial work as she is ageing and I like to tinker so this view is slightly out of date!Captain Nick Medhurst would ask:
"What is the first rule when overlanding?"
I would Reply:
"Duratrac"
