Crumpet's injured

Sad
Tootling along to work this morning, I approached and stopped at a roundabout..... then boom! Some guy in a white caddy van smacked into the back of me. I'm was really shaken so phoned LR assist. They sent a lovely LRA tech who examined Crumpet. He thinks the tow bar has been pushed backwards and symmetrically rotated where the tow bar meets the chassis.
There are no marks at all on my car- other than a little rub to the LHS bumper.
I'm forbidden to tow and now have the hassle of taking the car in to be looked at. It's such a pain. I have to be at work 9-6 every day... Locum vets are as rare as hens teeth.... arghh don't need this stress.

Main thing is you're ok, everything else is secondary. Hope you get it sorted quickly.

I know its not ideal, will your insurer/LR offer a loan vehicle whilst its looked at/ repaired

The other parties insurance should cover a loan vehicle for you if you NEED one.

Crumpet all fixed! TVLR, inspected last Monday, replaced the damaged tow bar on Thursday, so other than the inconvenience of being backwards and forwards with the car, the disruption to not having my vehicle has been minimal.
However, since the bump, the left rear tyre decided to deflate itself (checked thoroughly and no issue found) and then yesterday out of nowhere Crumpet's knob got stuck up and I couldn't twist it into P, R or D... Managed to get it to TVLR who did a software update to the gear box module. Hopefully just a coincidence that these things have happened and not down to the bump provoking the gremlins.
