My first 'land rover' holiday!
Been away in my disco for the first time this week.
Booked a caravan in Woolacombe, filled the car with all the stuff we needed, squeezed the wife and kids in, topped the tank, grabbed some breakfast and set off. It's 250 miles door to to door, every inch was a dream. We were relaxed, comfy and above all else, we had fun! we had a few days out, did some sight seeing and loved being in the car together! Even though the traffic on the M5 was shocking on the way home, it didn't phase any of the family, we had a great time. It felt like a proper 'driving' holiday
We've had the disco for about a year. This was the first time we've had chance to enjoy it as a family. I guarantee that this won't be the last! Spending time together has been priceless. Turning our backs on PS4's, iPhones, tv and technology has given us chance to reconnect as parents and children. This might of been the same if we were in some other 7seater family car but we weren't. We were in our disco, and we loved it.

Nice one
Doing similar in Wales this year, place really is off-the-grid!! Not sure how the kids are going to cope without Wifi let alone a phone reception
Is that your secret to turning your back on tech (no connection)??
Agreed, Disco is super comfy on journeys, kids love going in it.

As a compromise I let the kids take there phones! Not that they ever got any signal, ha ha ha! But not once did they complain about being bored, they soon realised that sometimes it's nice to be 'off the grid'
Since we've been back there's already talk of the next time!
Talk on the replacement model.
This is a true lifestyle event provided by a lifestyle vehicle.
I'm still blown away by the practicality....more than the sum of its parts...I get in & think 10 years ago made a decision & it still holds good
I just wonder if those who control & decide things in LR are fully aware ?
I'm just hoping the Defender "new one" is a follow on D3/4.BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.
