Got a paddling pool in the D3 drivers foot well , its been parked in the street this last couple of weeks with the near side wheels on the curb , so leaning to the offside . any body got any suggestions as to where it might be leaking in .

It may be the sunroof drains.
Search on here for the way to clear them Stew,
2010 D4 gone but I really loved it
Went back to Merc - C350 AMG

thanks I've had a quick look its a job for the weekend . could an air line be used from the sun roof to blow the tubes out without having to strip it down

No.
You want some of that thick nylon that is used on garden strimmers. There's a hole at the front edge of the sunroof tray. The pipe from here runs down the inside of the A pillar and out inside the wing.
It's the outlet that usually blocks up and this causes the tube to fill up and flow over then behind the interior trim and thus fill up the passenger footwell.
It will be the little outlet grommet that is blocked with cack and preventing the water draining away. Mods:

If your A pillar cover is wet,then probably blocked drain. If not then the end that goes through the bulk head is probably perished (ask me how I know) Buy a pair of new drain tubes which are circa £20 each and fit them. The new versions have modified ends that should stop them perishing as quickly as the originals.

thanks guys ,ill try that strimmer plastic first if not then new tubes , its the drivers foot well Narpy not the passenger

Same rules apply to drivers footwell.
The blocked grommet will be inside the wing vent on the outside of the car.
Remove the wing vent and prod the drain outlet with a suitable implement. Get ready for water to come rushing out and straight up your sleeve. Mods:
