Levelling valve RVH000055

Can the rear levelling valve part number RVH000055 be fitted to the front?
They are exactly the same but different part numbers so I wondered what's the difference and could it be the cause of my fault please ?

If they have different part numbers then to 99% certainty they will be different, maybe not from the outside, but possibly they're inner workings.

Not knowing what the fault is, means we couldn't comment as to whether this is the cause of the fault, you need to give more detail Rolling Eyes
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Long story .Suspension fault light yellow. I was given a front levelling valve to try and see if it helps. (It was a rear one) It didn't . Had a check done with a IID . Eventually yellow light turned red.?Rear height was way to high. Recalliberated . Fault C1A00. Checked rear wiring to rear valve block. All ok. New Rear valve block on its way to me in case it's that. Checked wiring to front valve block. All ok. Fitted new exhaust valve spring to the compressor in case it was that. Fitted new cover to the air dryer and renewed the insides of it too. Air tank looks old but I can't hear any leaks anywhere. The only things left are that front valve block or some wiring somewhere else. Compressor does run but only for a few seconds .

Have you checked the compressor cap for leaks?
Sorry, you've replaced the cap, should have read your description.

Front and Rear valve blocks look identical but one of them (the Rear one I think) has bigger air channels.
It would not cause errors per se, but I will take longer to fill the air springs.

Ah many thanks.
I think I'll order a new correct front one also. Maybe why the message suspension raising slowly came up possibly then if it had larger chambers to fill.

Just to update - more skin lost and the rear levelling valve is changed but the car is still the same. Compressor runs for a few seconds and stops.

Hi Danish, how did the fault start out?

Another post mentions the rear being too high. Is that higher than offroad height, or just higher than the front? Did it raise itself to that height overnight, or more suddenly? Or did it stay high after refusing to lower from offroad height?

I'm sure we can give some pointers.

It's been that long now I can't remember !
The compressor is coming off again today as I think that maybe the fault.
As it's had a new cap on the air dryer, new spring in the exhaust bolt already I'm sending it off to be checked and or fixed. Before spending hundreds on a new one if it can be fixed for a lot less I'll be happy. I'll let you know how it goes.
